Its first standard was improved in 1997 and its name is 802.11 WiFi. Keeping this name is like this because it has separate protocols for different alarms. At that time, the speed of this wireless technology was 2 megabytes per second. Although its speed was very low at first, there was no such thing as much as that time. Then in 1999, they made two new standards. One is 802.11 and another 802.11b.
The standard was for commercial use and the B Standard was for home use. Standard T was working at 5 GHz on the forecourt and its speed was 54 Mbitubs per second. Standard B was operating at 2.4 GHz and its speed was 11 megabits per second.
What is 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz?
We provide wireless communications services such as your mobile phone, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. they all work in wireless waves. This radio wave is what we call Electro Magnificent Waves, so there are many algae different bands. And in each band, it is found to get separate power and different ranges. We have allocated some of these bands for such work. Such as remote control car, microwave oven, blue-tooth etc. So in this way, two bands are used very common, one is 2.4 GHz and another 5 GHz. So WiFi, Blue-tooth, etc. all work on this speed.
Now you need to know one thing that the more frequencies will be the more speed. But the signal will be ranged. As much as a signal for high power, the more signal will be lost and the signal will not reach far enough. The fewer frequencies will be less than the speed will be less, but the signal will be far reachable. So there was a lot of speed at 5 GHz standard but the ranges were much lower and B was standard at 2.4 GHz, so its speed was low but this signal was possible for a long distance.
802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11 ac:
After this, another new standard was upgraded in 2003 and named as 802.11g. It combines all the benefits of Standard A and Standard B. It works at 2.4 GHz but it can deliver 54 Mbit / s speed per second. To operate 2.4 GHz, its signal is far reachable and it is available at 54 megabytes of speed per second. This standard became very popular for this facility. And as many as 10-12 years ago, 802.11g used to be used as part of the partition.
In 2009, a new standard was upgraded and named after 802.11n. There were two bands together. And together, it was able to work aloud separately on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. The speed of these two bands could be up to 600 Mb per second. And at the same time, there could be very good ranges. Although 5 GHz Frequency could have a slightly smaller range, there could be very good ranges at 2.4 GHz. And it was a great standard, because of that, we are still using this standard. Up to 90% of the devices, we have been using this standard.
After that, another new standard was discovered three years ago and it was named as 802.11 AC. Another thing to say is that there is no meaning in the name of G, N, AC etc. Many people may think that they are a short form of something. Actually, it’s not at all. These are just different names, diameters. Now 802.11 AC, it works in 5 GHz, and its highest speed is 1.3 Gbps per second. According to theory and in the next day it will be able to deliver 6.9 gigabytes of speed per second. But its range will be low because it works in 5 GHz frequencies.

You hear that 600 megabits per second or 1.3 gigabits per second, etc. You may know that the data we share with the help of wireless in the computer is in the form of a bit. In this situation, if the connection speed is 300 Mb per second, it means that the standard can transfer, process or process 300 million bits per second. Now imagine that your room has a 10 megabits per second internet connection. And you bought a 1.3 gigabits per second router. So that router will not increase your internet speed. But even if the file transfer is 1.3 gigabits per second speed, but not the speed. You can get the highest speed of your router only if your devices are 1.3GHz again and again and support the read speed. But if you think that if your internet speed increases by adding a higher speed router then you are definitely wrong.
Which router do you need to buy?
According to my opinion, if you can buy a WiFi 802.11 AC router today, you will have many advantages. Because the AC router has a dual-band through which you can increase the efficiency of your connectivity. Today, 2.4 Network is a common network, almost everyone uses this frequency. In this situation, if you are in a hazard area, you will always see 30-40 signals. Most of these signals may be 2.4 GHz. If you use 5 GHz here, your signal will be less interrupted and you can enjoy very good speed.
Again, remember that there are 10 separate devices in your house. Some of these devices support 2.4 GHz and some dual bands again support some ACs. So in this situation, you use AC signal in AC device, 2.4 in 2.4 devices and use 5 GHz network with 5 GHz network. As a result, your router will be able to control all the disciplines in the same mastery. Also, see what will happen, think you have 5 divisions and 5 uses 2.4 GHz, but your router will go to each device to set up the connection so that the network speed will be very weak.
That’s why I would say that you must buy a dual-band or AC router for you. You can buy any cheap router, I will not say that you will have to buy 25 thousand rupees router. Nowadays, a good router is available in the market for 2.5 to 5 thousand rupees, so you buy it so that you do not have any problems in the next day.
It is very important to remember another thing here. Suppose you still have a partition that works on Standard G or Standard B, then connect the device using Ethernet cable or LAN cable.
